St. Cecilia's is a small, privately owned business aimed at providing quality care for people of any age. This can be either in their own home or in our Residential Home, for those older people needing round the clock, specialised attention.

The Residential Home

Our Home is an elegant and well-appointed Victorian house in a busy residential area on the outskirts of Scarborough.

We cater for up to 21 residents, and offer a genuine family atmosphere, alongside 24-hour quality care.

We like to think of ourselves as a friendly, well run Home, catering specifically for the needs of older people - particularly those suffering from confusion. As well as providing constant care by a dedicated team of well trained staff, we also take pride in the fact that, wherever possible, our residents are encouraged to retain their personal freedom, privacy and dignity.

Care in the community was designed to enable people to stay in their own home for as long as they wish. At St. Cecilia's, we have introduced the following special services to help them do so and to make it possible for older people to stay with their families.

St. Cecilia's and Carewatch (North & East Riding of Yorkshire) have joined forces to provide a range of flexible, individual home care services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to enable people of any age or disability to live as normal a life as possible in the comfort and security of their own home.

By understanding people's needs we have formulated a unique approach to the delivery and co-ordination of a high quality and cost effective home care service.
