Are you an experienced deputy manager with a passion to make a real difference to people’s lives looking for a change or are you an experienced team leader/senior care worker looking to take the next step up in your career? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join us as a Deputy Manager.

The role is based at Jubilee House in Whitby which is a lively home caring for older people with nursing needs and some living with dementia.

A key part of your role will involve ensuring that the services are person centered and that staff support people to meet their personal outcomes. You will support the Registered Manager to ensure that the home meets and indeed exceeds the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other professional and legislative bodies.

As a motivated and inspiring leader you will support and guide staff ensuring that they contribute to the best of their abilities, encouraging them to meet their full potential by gaining relevant qualifications. Promoting good teamwork and staff morale.

A leadership qualification/experience along with a Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care qualification are essential or be prepared to work towards level 4 and 5.

Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and ensure proper medication management protocols are followed
- Provide high-quality home care services to residents, including those with dementia
- Supervise and lead a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care
- Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for residents

Skills:
- Senior care experience, particularly in nursing and dementia environments
- Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to health and safety protocols
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to guide and support care staff
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs
