Saint Cecilia’s Care Group is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new weekly initiative designed to say thank you to the region’s emergency service and healthcare workers. Starting on Friday 5th September, and continuing every Friday after that, Saint Cecilia’s Nursing Home on Filey Road, Scarborough will be welcoming local professionals for a well-earned breakfast treat.
From 9.30am to 10.30am, emergency and healthcare staff can stop by and enjoy a free coffee and a bacon or egg sandwich - a simple but heartfelt gesture to recognise their tireless dedication to keeping our community safe, healthy, and cared for.
Chairman of Saint Cecilia’s Care Group, Mike Padgham, explained the inspiration behind the initiative:
“We know how hard our emergency service and healthcare professionals work, often around the clock, to support and protect us all. This is our way of giving something back – a proper breakfast to start the day, and a heartfelt thank you for everything they do.”
The initiative, called ‘At Your Service’, is open to a wide range of local professionals, including:
Paramedics
District nurses
Police officers
Firefighters
Social workers
And many others who work tirelessly in frontline roles
No booking is needed – simply bring your ID or pop by in your uniform and you’ll be welcomed with open doors, a hot drink, and a freshly made breakfast sandwich. Whether you’re finishing a long night shift or getting ready to head out on your morning rounds, Saint Cecilia’s invites you to take a well-deserved break with them.
