Residents, families, colleagues and members of the local community came together on Sunday, 8 March, for the annual Service of Reflection organised by Saint Cecilia’s Care Group, in partnership with St Marks Church and G Roberts Funeral Directors.
Held at St Mark’s Church on Coldyhill Lane, the service offered a peaceful and supportive space for people to pause, reflect and remember loved ones who remain in their thoughts.
The service was led by Reverend Mike Cansdale, who guided the congregation through a thoughtful programme of hymns, prayers and readings designed to create a calm and meaningful atmosphere.
Those attending also heard reflections from George Roberts and Mike Padgham, whose words encouraged those present to reflect on the importance of remembrance, community and supporting one another.
A particularly moving part of the service was the music provided by local singer Neisha Morris. Her beautiful performances between the hymns and prayers added a touching and uplifting dimension to the afternoon.
The service brought together residents from Saint Cecilia’s homes, their families, staff members and people from the wider community. Events like this are an important reminder of how powerful it can be when people gather to share memories, offer support and spend time reflecting together.
