Saint Cecilia’s Care Awards 2025 lit up the historic Scarborough Spa on Friday 28th November, bringing together care teams from across the region, their families, VIP guests and supporters for a truly unforgettable evening of celebration.

Each year, the Awards honour the exceptional dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by staff across Saint Cecilia’s Care Group - but this year’s event felt especially magical.

The ceremony was expertly co-hosted by two familiar and much-loved figures: Amy Garcia from BBC Look North and the ever-energetic ‘Big’ Ian Donaghy. Their warmth, humour and genuine admiration for the care sector brought the whole room together, creating a joyful atmosphere from start to finish.

We were also delighted to welcome several special guests who came to show their appreciation for the amazing work of our teams. Local MP Alison Hume joined the celebrations, along with the Mayor of Scarborough, Thomas Murray - both offering their support for care staff who make such a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every single day.

Across the evening, we recognised outstanding individuals and teams from across Scarborough, Whitby and Pickering, shining a spotlight on those who consistently go above and beyond in their roles. From carers and nurses to chefs, administrators and housekeeping staff, each award highlighted the passion and teamwork that lie at the heart of Saint Cecilia’s Care Group.
