The 2025 Scarborough Toy Appeal officially wrapped up its main event on Sunday- and what an extraordinary celebration of community kindness it was. Saint Cecilia’s Care Group were once again delighted to support this much-loved local initiative, which brings joy to children across the region during the festive season.

This year’s appeal saw an incredible turnout, with thousands of toys generously donated by individuals, families, businesses, and community groups. The sheer volume of kindness on display demonstrated the true heart of Scarborough, and we’re proud to play our part.

Yesterday’s gathering added an extra touch of magic to the appeal. Visitors came together to enjoy beautiful orchestral performances and uplifting carol singing, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of the season. It was a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when people unite for a shared purpose.

The Work Continues Behind the Scenes

Although the event has finished, the Toy Appeal team - including volunteers, supporters, and what they lovingly call their “elves” - are still hard at work. The organisers shared a lovely update as the distribution phase begins:
